Kansas City Kicks Off Outdoor Season at Jayhawk Spring Fling

The Roos strung together notable performances in the relays and jumping events

LAWRENCE, Kan. -- Kansas City Track & Field opened up the 2026 outdoor season at the Jayhawk Spring Fling on Saturday afternoon. The Roos came off of a successful indoor campaign that saw several program records broken and gold medals won at the Summit Indoor Championships to end February. KC kicked off any between-seasons rust as the Roos notched numerous strong performances, most notably in the field events and relay races. KC compiled seven top-three finishes on the day in Lawrence to kick off the outdoor season. Full results from every Kansas City time and mark can be found below.
