
Notes: Kansas City Wraps Up Regular Season at St. Thomas

The Roos and Tommies tip-off at 7 p.m. CT on Wednesday night
Kansas City Notes
- Kansas City concludes the regular season on the road looking to sweep St. Thomas at 7 p.m. on Wednesday. Last time out, Kansas City lost 70-68 at home on senior night against Oral Roberts.Â
- In the previous matchup between Kansas City and St. Thomas, the Roos came out on top with a double-digit home win, 75-60 on Jan. 17th. The win marked the Roos second in a row over the Tommies and third all-time inside the Swinney Center dating back to 2022.
- Elauni Bennett produced a 20-point, 10-rebound double-double to lead Kansas City in scoring while playing 35 minutes against the Tommies earlier this season. Bennett leads the Summit League in offensive rebounding, hauling in just over four a game. Bennett has recorded seven double-doubles this season, the third most in the Summit League.
- Zaire Harrell recorded her first career double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds in their last matchup with the Tommies. She posted her second career double-double with 10 points and a team-leading 14 rebounds against Oral Roberts this past Saturday. Harrell has played in 120 career games for the Roos, tied for ninth all-time in program history.Â
- Tierra Trotter led the Roos in scoring against ORU last Saturday with 20 points. It is her third 20-point performance of the season, the last one coming against South Dakota where she scored 20 points and dished out six assists.Â
- St. Thomas enters the contest at 14-14 overall and 7-7 in Summit League play. The Tommies are coming off of a 12 point win, 70-58 against North Dakota.Â
- St. Thomas is 5-4 against the Roos all-time and 3-1 at home. The Tommies are 9-8 at home this season and have won three of their last four at Lee & Penny Anderson Arena.
- Alyssa Sand ranks third in the conference and 71st in the nation, tallying 145 blocks. Sand is also fourth in the conference with 1.39 blocks per game. She also ranks first in the Summit League in steals with 67 and steals per game with 2.39. That also ranks 52nd and 67th in the nation in both categories.
- Saint Thomas protects the rim better than anyone in the Summit League as they lead the conference with 4.3 blocks per game and ranks 44th in the nation.
