Notes: Kansas City Preps for Senior Day Clash With Oral Roberts

- Kansas City hosts a battle with Oral Roberts at 2 p.m. CT on Saturday, closing the 2025-26 regular season home slate. It will be senior day in the Swinney Center as eight Roos — Funmi Amode, Jumoke Adaramoye, Jamyah Winter, Carleigh Andrews, Kelby Bannerman, Hallie Majoros, Tierra Trotter and Zaire Harrell — will be honored during the pregame ceremony.Â
- Kansas City's most played opponent in program history is Oral Roberts with 60 total games between the two programs. The Roos and Golden Eagles initially squared off in 1988, with KC taking five of the first six meetings. Kansas City last defeated ORU 65-54 on Jan. 7, 2023 in the Swinney Center.Â
- Zaire Harrell made her 119th appearance as a Roo vs. Denver on Wednesday, putting her 10th all time in program history for games played. She is 10 games shy of Kim Nezianya for the all-time lead, who dawned the Kansas City uniform from 2009-14.
- Emani Bennett scored 20 points last time out against the Pios, making it her seventh game of 20-plus points this season and the second game in a row that she led the team in scoring. Last time out vs. ORU on Jan. 15, Bennett crossed the 1,000 point mark, currently ranking 14th on the Kansas City's all-time scoring list.Â
- The last time out versus the Golden Eagles, Elauni Bennett recorded a double-double with 20 points and 12 rebounds. She has achieved this feat seven times this season and last did so on Feb. 7th vs. North Dakota, notching 12 points and 11 rebounds.Â
- Oral Roberts enters the contest at 13-13 overall and 6-7 in Summit League play. The Golden Eagles had a two game win streak snapped Thursday night, falling 95-93 to South Dakota State.Â
- ORU aims to sweep the season series against the Roos, as the Golden Eagles took the first matchup 81-65 in Tulsa. Oral Roberts has a strong history against the Roos with a 39-21 series edge and currently holds a seven game win streak dating back to 2023.
- Jalei Oglesby has a 49.1% field goal percentage, which ranks fifth in the Summit League. She also sits fourth in total field goals made and points per game with 166 and 16.3 respectively.
- The Golden Eagles create havoc defensively. They currently lead the Summit League in turnovers forced per game with 19.2 and steals per game with just under 10.Â
