Kansas City scored a pair of runs late in the loss

WICHITA, Kan. - Kansas City Softball (5-33, 1-11 Summit) dropped a five-inning decision to Wichita State (24-21-1, 11-9-1 American) this afternoon, 15-2. The Roos picked up five hits on the day, including a pair of RBI singles from Katelyn Maciel and Kendyl Anderson. Three pitchers saw action in the circle, including Maddy Duvall's first appearance since Mar. 16.

KEY MOMENTS

Top 3 / 0-7 | Elleana Navarro picked up the Roos' first hit of the day, a double to right center.
Top 4 / 1-13 | Briona Woods doubled to advance Gianna Lickel to third after a leadoff walk and Anderson got KC on the board with a pinch-hit RBI.
Top 5 / 2-15 | Sabrina Rogers led the inning off with a walk and advanced to second on a fielder's choice. Maciel singled on the next at bat to bring Rogers home.
