SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - For the second week in a row, a Kansas City Women's Soccer student-athlete is bringing home the Summit League's Kwik Star Offensive Peak Performer of the Week honor. Riley Porter was announced as this week's recipient today, just seven days after Delfina Zolesio Fernandez Blanco brought home her second weekly award of the year.
Porter has scored in three-straight games for the Roos, all three victories for Kansas City. She needed just two shots to score in both of last week's wins, earning her first two starts of the year. In the Roos' 3-1 win over North Dakota State, she scored the game-clinching goal, an 87th minute breakaway that gave Kansas City a two-goal lead. Just three days later, she went for a game-winner at North Dakota, slotting away an 81st minute goal that put Kansas City into sole possession of fourth place in the Summit League standings.
Porter now has three goals scored this year to go along with a pair of assists, earning the first weekly award of her Kansas City career. She is no stranger to accolades, winning three AMC Offensive Player of the Week awards during her final season at Columbia College in 2024. Porter is the third Kansas City player to win the Summit's offensive honor this season, joining Zolesio and Breckynn Pugh.
Kansas City closes out the regular season this week, hosting South Dakota State on Thursday and traveling to Omaha on Sunday.
