Relay Resilience Men's 4x100 Meter Team Seals Second Consecutive Win in Lawrence

LAWRENCE, Kan. — Kansas City's Track and Field team headed to Kansas University to compete at the Rock Chalk Invitational. The Roos witnessed four men clocking under 10.50, with Junior Powell leading the pack at 10.34, securing second place, followed closely by Tory Lanham at 10.42 for third place, and Mason Rogers and Logan Pratt finishing fourth and fifth with times of 10.45 each. Once again, these athletes reshaped the program's top performances erasing all of the program's top five performances. Jaleesa McWashington slashed her previous personal record from 14.26 seconds to 14.04 seconds, achieved on April 6th in Fayetteville, Arkansas. The men's 4x100 meter relay team continued their impressive streak by clinching victory for the second consecutive weekend in Lawrence, Kansas. The Roos are set to compete at the Arkansas Twilight meet to wrap up the regular outdoor season.
