Roos Shake Summit League Standings at Arkansas Twilight Meet

Tory Lanham Makes the Most of the Regular Season Finale

FAYETTEVILLE, AR — The Kansas City Track and Field team wrapped up their regular season with a trip to Arkansas, where they continued to make strides in their performances ahead of the impending postseason.

Freshman standout Tory Lanham showcased his potential by securing the fastest time in the program's history in the 200 meters, finishing sixth with a time of 21.23 seconds. Lanham's performance also propelled him to the top of the Summit League rankings as they head into the Championship. Teammate, Logan Pratt, also delivered a solid performance, finishing eighth in the same event with a time of 21.37 seconds, maintaining his position near the top of the league standings.

In the women's 400 meters, Teresa Thomas achieved a personal best time of 54.59 seconds, securing sixth place and improving her ranking in the Summit League from fifth to fourth. Meanwhile, Mahgoub completed the 800 meters in 1:50.41, finishing in tenth place. Despite this, Mahgoub remains in contention for a podium finish as he holds onto the third-place position in the league rankings heading into the Championships.

The Roos will now shift their focus to the Summit League Outdoor Track and Field Championships in St. Paul, Minnesota, where they will look to capitalize on their recent performances.
