Roos Resume Conference Play in Omaha

Kansas City Notes

Kansas City had a bye in conference play last weekend, which allowed them a quick break before their series this weekend. The Roos picked up their 15th win of the season, 8-6, over Missouri State on April 9.
Briona Woods has been a key player for the Roos at the plate this season. She went 4-for-4 in Kansas City's win last week earning a double, three RBIs and a run. She also notched two putouts in center field for a perfect fielding percentage.
The Roos' most recent win over the Mavericks in Omaha was on April 7, 2015. The Blue and Gold defeated the Mavericks 8-0 in five innings.
Camryn Stickel started for the Roos against Missouri State, throwing the first four complete innings and allowing two hits. Stickel reentered the matchup in the seventh to close the game for the Roos. She threw her fourth strikeout of the day to claim Kansas City's victory. In her 4.1 innings, Stickel held batters to a .143 average and allowed zero runs, earned or unearned.
Four Roos have notched six multi-RBI games this season. Woods earned her sixth against Missouri State to join, Kadin Vire, Katie Noble and Lexy Smith. Smith and Vire are the only two Roos to document a four-RBI game this season.

Omaha Notes

Omaha enters the matchup following their second loss in conference play. The Mavericks swept NDSU to open conference play and won their next two series 2-1 against St. Thomas and South Dakota.
The Mavericks currently have five players batting above .300 this season. Maggie O'Brien leads Omaha at the plate with a .364. She has started in all 39 of the Mavericks' games, earning 48 hits and 26 runs.
Kamryn Meyer leads Omaha in the circle. She has earned 18 wins this season and thrown 154 strikeouts. Meyer holds a 2.17 ERA and has thrown 122.2 innings this year.
