St. Thomas shot 59.1% from the field to take a season sweep over KC
KANSAS CITY - Kansas City Men's Basketball (10-13, 4-4 Summit) ran in to a red-hot St. Thomas (14-9, 4-4 Summit) this evening in the Swinney Center, falling in a 71-56 decision. The Tommies were 26-of-44 from the field, good for a 59.1% clip, including a 47.6% mark from three-point range.
Despite falling behind in the first half, the Roos were able to keep things close, entering the break down by five points. A quick start to the second half allowed Kansas City to briefly jump ahead, but costly turnovers led to a St. Thomas run that put the game out of reach.
Jamar Brown led Kansas City with 15 points and seven rebounds, shooting 5-of-15 from the field. Tyler Andrews followed up his career-best game with an 11-point night, while Khristion Courseault contributed another 11 off the bench.
