Roos Travel to Oral Roberts, St. Thomas for Final Two Regular Season Road Games

Kansas City Notes

This week, the Roos will look to build on their first conference win. Kansas City pulled off its first comeback victory of the season defeating North Dakota 3-2 with three second-half goals. The victory marks KC's first multi-goal comeback since Sep. 7, 2018, when the Roos came back to defeat Kansas State.
Lily Stedman played a critical role in Kansas City's win, notching her first goal and assist of league play. Stedman opened scoring for the Blue and Gold with a 50th-minute goal and helped KC secure the win with her assist in the 73rd minute. Three points mark a new career-high.
KC enters its final two away games of the regular season this week. A win would allow them to tie last year's conference record for wins. In 2023, the Roos logged wins against St. Thomas and South Dakota while earning draws against North Dakota State, North Dakota and South Dakota State.
Brianna Castleberry notched her first goal of conference play against North Dakota in game-winning fashion. She currently ranks second in the Summit for shots with 37 across 13 games. She led the team in conference goals last season earning four across eight games.
With four games remaining in the regular season, Kansas City has seen improvements in nearly every offensive category. As a team, KC has earned 21 goals this season and 22 assists compared to 19 goals and 16 assists last year. This year's squad has also landed 70 shots on goal, one more than the season prior.

Oral Roberts Notes

The Golden Eagles come into the match following their first loss of league play. Oral Roberts made it on the board first against North Dakota State with a goal in the 51st minute from Alani Chaple but fell 2-1 in Fargo, ND.
Thursday's game will be a rematch of last year's Summit League Quarterfinals when the Roos fell 2-1 against Oral Roberts. The Golden Eagles hold a six-game winning streak over the Roos as well as a 6-2-1 record at home.
Senior midfielder Samantha Guzman currently leads the league in shots on goal and goals during conference play. She has landed eight shots on frame across four games and found the back of the net four times.

St. Thomas Notes

St. Thomas has the week to rest following its 1-0 loss against Omaha in Nebraska. The Tommies are still looking to pick up their first win of conference play and enter the match on a four-game losing streak.
In the three meetings between Kansas City and St. Thomas, the Tommies have yet to pick up a win. The two teams drew 1-1 in 2022, the last time the two teams faced off in St. Paul, Minn.
St. Thomas keepers Olivia Rowe and Kendell Ellis have been splitting time in goal. Rowe has made ten starts while Ellis has made four, starting in the three most recent games against South Dakota State, Denver and Omaha.
