Kansas City will be the 13th seeded team at Bear's Best Las Vegas from May 15-17
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Kansas City Men's Golf has its assignment for the 2023 NCAA Regionals: the Roos will be headed to Las Vegas, Nev. to play at Bear's Best Las Vegas. KC will be the 13th-seeded team out of the 14-team regional, led by top-seeded Arizona State, the No. 4 team in the nation according to Golfweek. Regional play will begin on May 15, playing three rounds across three days.
This will be the furthest west that the Roos have ever traveled for an NCAA regional, having previously played in Indiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma (twice) and Texas. While this will be the first time since at least 2006-07 that Kansas City has played at Bear's Best, the Roos are no stranger to Las Vegas. KC has competed in the Lake Las Vegas Invitational each of the past two seasons, including a fifth-place finish this year.
Kansas City has qualified to regional play for the sixth time in program history, all of which have come since 2011 and have been under the reign of Head Coach J.W. VanDenBorn. The Roos' best regional finish came in their most recent appearance, finishing 10th out of 14 teams at the Austin regional in 2019.
