Three Roos Haul in Summit Golf Postseason Honors

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - As Kansas City Golf enters the postseason, three Roos were honored by The Summit League as All-League players, as was announced this afternoon. Maxence Catherine was named Second Team All-League, while Lucas Dutartre and Joshua Robards were each placed on the Honorable Mention All-League list.

Catherine returned to Kansas City this season and has shown great senior leadership, averaging 73.0 strokes per round across 23 rounds and firing off nine rounds at-or-under par. He has one top-10 finish on the season, finishing tied for 10th at the Robert Kepler Intercollegiate this past week. This is the third time that Catherine has been named All-League across his career, each coming from a different conference. In 2018-19, he was an All-WAC Second Team selection, and in 2017-18, he earned Second Team All-Sun Belt honors while playing at Louisiana-Monroe.

Just a freshman, Dutartre has been a prime example of the Roos' bright future. He averages 73.19 strokes per round across 26 rounds of play, going for a team-leading 10 rounds at-or-below par. He notched two top-10 finishes on the year, a tie for seventh-place finish at the Lake Las Vegas Intercollegiate and a tie for ninth at the Hawkeye Invitational.

Robards has given Kansas City some great rounds throughout the season, averaging 73.27 strokes per round across 26 rounds and notching seven rounds at-or-under par. He is the only Roo with a top-five finish on the season, finishing tied for fifth at the GCU Invitational. While in Arizona, he fired off Kansas City's best round of the year, shooting a five-under 66 in the first round. This is Robards's first postseason honor of his career.

Kansas City's season continues in Lincoln, Neb. in the upcoming days, traveling to the Summit League Men's Golf Championship from Apr. 30-May 2.
