A big offensive output in the second game of the day was not enough for KC to win
GREELEY, Colo. - Kansas City Softball (5-17) dropped a pair of matchups to Northern Colorado on Saturday, falling 8-0 in five innings in the first game, and 11-10 in the second game. Despite taking a commanding lead in the second game, the Roos could not hold on and fell in all three games this weekend.
GAME ONE KEY MOMENTS
- Top 1 / 0-0 | Ally Vonfeldt singled with two outs and appeared to give Kansas City some early life, but the Roos were unable to take advantage. The Bears picked up an unearned run in the bottom off the inning and claimed a lead.
- Bottom 3 / 0-8 | Northern Colorado put up seven runs in the third inning and took command of the game.
- Top 5 / 0-8 | Amelia Fitzgerald singled as the Roos attempted to start a rally up, but Kansas City could not bring any runs around.
