- Kansas City Men's Basketball returns to action at Bowling Green on Saturday, following an 80-57 win over Tabor on Dec. 12. With the win, KC moved to 4-0 on the season when allowing less than 60 points. The Roos are allowing an average of 51.6 points per game in winning eforts.
- Jamar Brown exploded for a 29-point night against the Bluejays, the Roos' first 20-plus point outing of the season. Brown also became the first Roo to make 10-plus field goals this season, shooting 12-of-21 from the field. In addition, he notched a season-high four three-pointers, adding seven rebounds and a pair of steals.
- The Roos played a clean game in the win over Tabor, committing just six total fouls on the night with no Kansas City player picking up more than one personal foul. Six team fouls is the fewest in a single game in program history, and just the fifth time in program history that the Roos have been whistled for single-digit fouls. According to Sports Reference, it was the 21st game this year in which a team was called for six or fewer fouls.
- Kansas City has proven its ability to share the basketball, ranking second in the Summit with an average of 13.5 assists per game. The Roos have notched at least 10 assists in every game this season and are averaging 15.0 assists across the last three games. Khristion Courseault has led KC's passing efforts in each of those three games, averaging 5.7 assists per game across that stretch.
- Freshman Jayson Petty earned his first-career start in the Roos' win over Tabor, playing 24 minutes, scoring six points and pulling down three rebounds to go with a pair of blocks. Petty is averaging 4.0 points and 2.3 rebounds per game on the season.
Bowling Green Notes
- The Falcons enter Saturday's matchup with a 6-3 record and have won four-straight games dating back to Nov. 25.
- These teams have met once before, a 71-69 win for Kansas City on Nov. 19, 2016.
- Martez Harrison was the hero in that game, scoring a game-high 23 points including the game-winner with 2.2 seconds remaining.
- Saturday's game will be a battle of strength vs. strength on the boards. The Falcons rank first in the MAC in rebounds per game, averaging 39.11.
- Marcus Hill is Bowling Green's offensive leader, averaging a team-high 19.3 points per game. He ranks top-10 in the MAC in points, field goal percentage, and free throw makes.
