Tamia Ugass scored a career-high 26 points off the bench for the Roos
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Kansas City Women's Basketball (6-14, 2-7 Summit) fell to North Dakota State University (13-6, 7-2 Summit) this afternoon in a tough game, 75-66. The Roos had 17 offensive rebounds, keeping them in the contest until the final minutes. A career high 26-points from Tamia Ugass and eight assists from Rain Green were not enough to put KC on top after a low-scoring fourth quarter.
After a tight first quarter, the Roos came out firing. Kansas City put up 20 points in the second quarter, shooting 60% from the field and nailing their lone three of the game. With their strong second quarter showing, the Roos brought the score to 39-39 going into the half.
Coming off the bench, Ugass lead the team in both points and rebounds, pulling down four on offense and three on defense. Machia Mullens put up 12 points, and was the only other Roo to reach double-digits.

COACH JACKSON-DURRETT, QUOTED
"We needed to block out and rebound, and we didn't at some crucial times. When you play really good defense, which we did, and then give up an offensive rebound, they're not going to miss that many."
"Being with her every day, we know what (Ugass) is capable of. We're excited for her because now it's coming out and now she's doing what she's capable of doing."
