- Kansas City is back in action on the road this week, beginning its second round of Summit League play. The Roos were 2-7 in their first round of conference play, which last happened in 2016-17 when KC started WAC play 1-9 before rattling off wins in three of its final four games.
- Tamia Ugass had a standout weekend against North Dakota and North Dakota State, setting a career-high in the scoring column in both games. On Thursday against UND, she went 6-of-7 from the field, finishing with 15 points. Against NDSU, she led the team with 26 points, tied for the highest scoring output by a Roo this season. Previously, she her career-high was 12 points, reached twice this season.
- E'Lease Stafford remains one of the biggest three-point shooting threats in the Summit League. She averages 2.40 threes per game on 34.5% three-point shooting, both marking second in the Summit. She is responsible for 48 of the Roos' 79 triples on the season, 60.8% of the team's three-point shooting.
- The Roos have had their struggles on the road, compiling a 1-9 record away from the Swinney Center so far this season. The lone win came in overtime against Bradley on Nov. 29. Since then, KC has dropped seven-straight road contests.
- Averaging 4.9 blocks per game on the year, the Roos rank first in the Summit League and 20th in the nation in that category. The team is on pace to break the program record of 4.1 blocks per game, set in 2006-07.
Omaha Notes
- Omaha enters Thursday's matchup at 9-11 on the season, with a 4-5 mark in conference play.
- The all-time series is 6-6 between the two teams, but the Mavs own a 3-1 advantage in games played in Omaha.
- KC's lone win at Omaha came on Jan. 10 of last season, a 73-64 victory in favor of the Roos.
- Omaha took the first meeting this year, 75-64 in the Swinney Center. E'Lease Stafford led KC with 19 points, while Manna Mensah pitched in 13.
- Four Mavs average double-digit scoring, led by Elena Pilakouta's 13.5 points per game.
Denver Notes
- Denver enters the week at 7-13, with a 3-6 mark in Summit League play, having lost its last five games.
- The all-time series is tied at 6-6, with Kansas City's lone win in Denver coming on Jan. 18 of last year.
- In the first meeting this season, the Pioneers came away with a 73-60 win. Three Roos scored 12 points each and KC notched 11 total steals on the game.
- DU's Emma Smith leads the team with an average of 12.0 points per contest. Ally Haar chips in 10.3 per game.
