The Roos could not find their stride, committing 11 service errors
GRAND FORKS, N.D. - Kansas City Volleyball had no answers for North Dakota this evening, falling 3-0 (25-21, 25-21, 25-18). The loss snaps the Roos' four-match win streak against the Fighting Hawks.
KEY MOMENTS
- S1 / 7-7 | Rachel Sturdevant came around the right side on a slide, finding an open corner for her second kill of the day to tie the first set up.
- S1 / 15-17 | Sturdevant continued her strong play in the opening set, sending across her fourth kill on six attempts and bringing the Roos within a pair.
- S1 / 21-24 | The Roos fought off the first set point with a kill by Carly Gillen, but North Dakota would clinch the set on the next point.
- S2 / 11-11 | Odyssey Warren tooled a shot off the UND block and down for a kill to tie the second set.
- S2 / 20-20 | Gillen provided a late-game spark once again with a kill that tied things up, but the Fighting Hawks ended the set on a 5-1 run.

- S3 / 9-11 | Raina Smith notched five kills in the span of seven points, bringing the Roos within two after falling behind by seven early.
- S3 / 15-20 | The Roos were able to rattle off three-straight points to draw back within five and force a North Dakota timeout, but UND would close things out to earn the sweep.
STATS TO NOTE
- Smith was the Roos' leading attacker, finishing with nine kills on 20 attempts. Gillen was not far behind with eight kills on 0.429 hitting.
- Peyton Van Nest was the only Roo to dig up double-digit attacks, finishing with an even 10. She added 14 assists for the double-double.
- Despite finishing with more kills, the Roos allowed the Fighting Hawks to hit at a 0.245 clip, compared to their own 0.174 hitting percentage.
- Service errors hurt the Roos once again, finishing with 11.
