KC had an efficient hitting day, but could not stop the NDSU attack
FARGO, N.D. - Kansas City Volleyball had trouble stopping the North Dakota State attack this morning, falling to the Bison 3-0 (29-27, 25-17, 25-19). The Roos hit at an efficient 0.284 rate, but allowed NDSU to post a 0.340 hitting percentage.
KEY MOMENTS
- S1 / 15-14 | Neither team gained an advantage in the early going, but a solo block by Georgia Mullins took the Roos into the media timeout with an edge.
- S1 / 23-21 | Odyssey Warren dropped a kill and followed it up with a service ace, putting the Roos ahead by two and forcing an NDSU timeout.
- S1 / 26-25 | Sydney Henry rose above the net and pushed a second contact down for a kill to give KC its second set-point opportunity. The Bison would take the next point, and eventually take the set.
- S2 / 7-12 | Kimora Whetstone sent across a strong kill from the middle, trying to spark a KC run after the Bison won six-straight points.
