Smith hit in the Roos' lone run of the day
FARGO, N.D. – Kansas City Softball (8-25, 4-4) was halted by North Dakota State (22-17, 4-4) in day one of the series. The Roos dropped a defensive pitcher's duel in game one, 0-1, after an error gave the Bison an unearned run to win the game. Then KC was outhit in game two, falling to NDSU 1-4.

- Bottom 2 / 0-1 | The Bison' lone run came in unearned after a Roos' error in the outfield.
- Bottom 5 / 0-1 | Mia Hoveland struck out the final batter of the inning to continue the pitcher's duel.
