FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Kansas City Softball (4-14) fell to Kennesaw State (6-12) in the tournament cap, 1-7. Kloe Hilbrenner went a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate, but the Roos could not string together enough hits to mount a rally.
KEY MOMENTS
Kansas City heads to Arizona next weekend to face another slate of tough teams. The weekend will feature No. 21 Arizona State, BYU, and old WAC foes New Mexico State and Grand Canyon. First pitch is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. CST against New Mexico State in Tempe, Ariz.
KEY MOMENTS
- Top 3 / 0-0 | After a scoreless first two innings on both sides, Hilbrenner took off for home on a hit up the middle by Alexis D'Ambrosio but was thrown out at the plate.
- Bottom 3 / 0-6 | A flurry of hits and miscues by KC's defense allowed six runs to score for Kennesaw State.
