- Top 1 / 2-0 | Kloe Hilbrenner started the game with a walk and came around to score on D'Ambrosio's double. KC tacked on one more when D'Ambrosio came in one Delainey Fenoglio's single to rightfield.
- Bottom 2 / 2-2 | A couple KC errors allowed two Shockers to score, but Mia Hoveland came right back with two strikeouts in the danger zone of Wichita State's lineup to keep it a tie game.
