Michela Xibilia didn't lose a single game on the day
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Kansas City Tennis made quick work of Bradley this afternoon for its second-straight win, 4-1. Michela Xibilia had a standout day, winning all 18 games she was on the court for.
"The girls battled well today," Head Coach Kendell Hale said. "Michela had a great day with two big wins, and played some of the best tennis I've ever seen from her."
The Roos opened things up on a good note, winning their first doubles point of the season. Xibilia and Anastassiya Timofeyeva swept through their opponents in the one spot, winning 6-0. Grace Ball and Eva Kresovic clinched the point, winning 6-3.
"We mixed our doubles teams up a little bit and finally got a doubles point," Hale said.
Xibilia continued her stellar day at two singles, winning 6-0, 6-0 to give the Roos a two-point lead. Joanna Cardona won in straight sets at four singles for her third singles victory of the year, winning a second set tiebreaker. The Roos got the clincher from Laura Munoz-Baroja at three singles, winning a three-set thriller, 6-3, 2-6, 6-4.
"I was super proud of Laura and Joanna with some key wins at three and four," Hale said.
The Roos open Summit League play next week, playing Omaha on Saturday at 1 p.m.
