Alisa Reznik is the Roos first freshman to earn an All-League bid since 2023
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. --Â For the fourth straight season, Kansas City Tennis has representation on the postseason All-League lists as Alisa Reznik became an All-League Honorable Mention, as announced by the Summit League on Thursday afternoon. Reznik is the Roos first freshman to garner All-League stats since teammate Catherine Chrobak did so in 2023.Â
In her inaugural campaign, Reznik went 4-2 against Summit foes and 7-5 overall. Reznik started the year in the No. 6 position for the Roos, taking singles wins over Northern Illinois and Bradley in non-conference play. The Novosibirsk, Russia native found her stride as the spring season went along, winning four straight singles matches, three of which came against Summit opponents from March 20-April 2.Â
In the No. 6 spot, Reznik defeated opponents from North Dakota and South Dakota which led to the freshman getting bumped up to the No. 5 role. Reznik continued to thrive, besting foes from Oral Roberts and Omaha in that spot. Additionally, Reznik was a key piece in the Roos doubles play, helping Kansas City get a double victory in matches against Missouri State, Tulsa and St. Lawrence.Â
