Volleyball Begins Back Half of League Play at Home

The Roos will host ORU on Saturday before meetings with NDSU and UND next week
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Kansas City Volleyball finished its first run through Summit League play with a 3-6 conference record and will look to begin the second leg hot, hosting ORU, NDSU and UND.

- Through nine matches, the Roos sit in eighth place in the conference standings. The top six finishers qualify for the league tournament, meaning KC will need to jump at least two teams in the final nine matches.
- Odyssey Warren's breakout season has continued, leading the Roos in kills in the last six matches. Her average of 3.27 kills per set leads the team and ranks eighth in the conference.
- Kimora Whetstone has been a highlight for Kansas City in her freshman year. The middle blocker is averaging 0.91 blocks per set, 11th in the league.
- Sydney Henry has also provided a spark as a freshman, averaging 4.98 assists per set with four double-doubles.
Oral Roberts Notes
- ORU enters Saturday's match at 7-14 overall, winning two of their last three matches.
- The Golden Eagles took the first meeting between these two squads in four sets behind 14 service aces.
North Dakota State Notes
- The Bison are currently 13-7 overall, with a 6-2 conference mark that puts them in third place.
- NDSU took the first meeting between these two teams in a three-set sweep, committing only 14 errors for a 0.340 hitting percentage.

- North Dakota is 8-11 on the season, but hold a 5-3 record in Summit League play.
- The Fighting Hawks swept past KC in the first meeting, limiting the Roos to just one block and holding all KC hitters to single-digit kills.
