KC Hosts Western Illinois to Wrap Up Home Stand

The Roos take on the Leathernecks tonight at 6 p.m.
KANSAS CITY, Mo. -Â Playing their third game in five days, Kansas City Women's Basketball will look to finish their three-game home stand 3-0 as they take on Western Illinois for the first time since last year's loss in the Summit League Quarterfinals.

- Naomie Alnatas was named the Summit League Player of the Week this afternoon for her performances over the weekend, averaging 21.5 points and 7.0 assists. She has notched eight 20-point games on the year, the most since Ericka Mattingly in 2018-19.
- Both Alnatas and Brooklyn McDavid have combined for 38 double-digit scoring games this season (of a possible 40). The rest of the Roos' roster has combined for 33 double-digit scoring outputs.
- After a 1-3 start to conference play, the Roos have picked things up, winning four of their last five. They currently hold sole possession of third place in the Summit League, trailing only South Dakota and South Dakota State.
- Kiara Bradley played all 45 minutes of the Roos' overtime win over Omaha, becoming the first since Mattingly to reach that mark. On the season, she averages 34.1 minutes per game, which ranks third in the Summit League.
- Paige Bradford has seen her rebounding production rise in recent weeks, averaging 10.8 boards per game over the past four games. Her 16-rebound performance against Omaha was the most by a Roo since 2018-19.
- The Roos have used the same starting lineup in all 20 games this season, and are joined by Western Illinois as the only teams in the Summit to have started the same five in each game so far this season.
- Alnatas and McDavid both rank top-five in the conference and top-100 in the nation in field goal percentage, leading the Roos' efficient offense. As a team, KC knocks down 44.3% of its field goal attempts, ranking second in the Summit League.
- After reaching the 20-minute mark in just three of the first 18 games, Dani Winslow has notched 20-plus in each of the past two contests, averaging 6.0 rebounds.

- The Roos met up with the Leathernecks three times in the 2020-21 season, dropping the most recent matchup in The Summit League conference tournament with a final score of 59-60.
- In the conference tournament loss, Naomie Alnatas, Paige Bradford and Mandy Willems all finished in double-digit scoring.
- KC was outscored beyond the arc 33-15 by WIU in their final game of the season.
