THE ROOS, QUOTED
Jacie Hoyt
- "(Before the fourth quarter), I jumped them and told them 'Fight. You have to fight and you have to remember who you are.' I felt like we kind of forgot in the third quarter. When Brooklyn is being Brooklyn and Mimie is being Mimie, we really feed off of them. Mandy showed exceptional senior leadership."
- "We have a couple of players who have been our go-to defenders and respond well when they know they have to defend players like Danni (Nichols). She's a really good player and we're probably not going to shut her down, we just want to make it hard."
Brooklyn McDavid
- "Right before the game, (Assistant Coach) Patrick (Harrison) took me to the side and told me face up more and take my time on the drive. I think the last few games, I've been fading away and settling for jump shots. If I just go up for the shot, I can get free throws."
