COACH JESS SMITH, QUOTED
- "Mak Caldwell was really composed tonight, considering it was her first game this season. She made some great saves that kept us in the game. We created an unbelievable chance off of their poor clearance. We gained the momentum with the equalizer when Emma Byrne had the vision to play the ball back diagonal to Kassi Ginther who finished it really well. In overtime we created some dangerous chances that could have gave us the win but Oklahoma finished an unbelievable goal. I am disappointed we didn't get the result, but we learned a lot about ourselves tonight"
UP NEXT
The Roos will complete their Labor Day weekend trip on Sunday with a matchup against Tulsa at 2 p.m. In their last road trip to Tulsa in 2019, Kansas City brought home a 2-1 victory.
