KC outshot the Bluejays in the second half, but two late-game goals secured the win for Creighton

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A strong second half showing for Kansas City Women's Soccer was not enough against Creighton this afternoon, as the Roos fell, 3-0. After entering the half down 1-0, the Roos out-shot the Bluejays in the second half, but two late-game goals secured the Creighton victory.

KEY MOMENTS

1' | Mackenzie Caldwell was called into action early, making her first save of the game.
3' | Creighton reached the scoreboard first with an early goal.
7' | Gabrielle Simms found room to attempt a shot, but it was kept out of the goal by the Bluejays' defense.
15' | The Bluejays looked to score again in the counterattack, but Sophia Limongi made a bone-crunching tackle to stop the threat.
28' | Kayda Kamolz stole the possession away from the Bluejays in the attacking third and played over to Anna Jennings, but Jennings's cross was intercepted by the Jays' keeper.

STATS TO NOTE

Caldwell has now saved at least seven shots in every game that she has played in this season.
Simms took the only first-half shot for the Roos, the second shot of her career.
Kansas City out-shot the Bluejays 9-to-8 in the second half.
Wilson led the Roos with a season-high three shots.
Limongi was the only Roo outfielder to play all 90 minutes.
