- Kansas City out-shot the Bluejays 9-to-8 in the second half. Â
- Wilson led the Roos with a season-high three shots.Â
- Limongi was the only Roo outfielder to play all 90 minutes. Â
COACH JESS SMITH, QUOTED
- "I was incredibly proud of the way the team responded to what we talked about at halftime. We were all over them, we created multiple scoring opportunities and really felt like we were in it. Then they get one shot and they're up 2-0. It's a tough spot to be in."
- "We've had a tough go at it, but this non-conference season is for our development to prepare for conference. Today, and every other loss that we've had has to be a growing experience for it to mean something positive, and we have to stay competitive, positive and together."
UP NEXT
Kansas City will close out non-conference play with one final road trip to Iowa, taking on Drake on Friday at 1 p.m. and Northern Iowa on Sunday at 1 p.m.
