
Roos Score in First, Final Minute in Win

Ryan Khedoo scored in the first minute, Dontell Gilyard scored in the 90th, and the Roos completed the shutout
MACOMB, Ill. - Cooper Clark got his first shutout as a member of the Kansas City Men's Soccer team, and the Roos rode two goals at the beginning and end of the game to put away Western Illinois, 2-0.
Ryan Khedoo got things started right away, scoring a minute into the contest for his first goal of the season. Dontell Gilyard added his first goal of the year with less than ten seconds remaining in the game to put it away. Khedoo was credited with the assist on that goal.
Kansas City out-shot the Leathernecks 13-6 throughout the game with eight attempts on goal for the Roos.
Clark only faced one shot on net, but was easily able to keep it out. This marks his first shutout for Kansas City after transferring from the University of Tulsa this season.
Jony Munoz led the team with three shots. Dennis Mensah and Hugo Gutierrez had two; Gilyard, Khedoo, Mario Sandoval, Cesar Mont Soler, Gustavo Leal Murtha, and Seth Kacich all had one shot. Kacich also earned a yellow card at 31'.
Albert Porqueras Adame was also tagged with a yellow card at 86'.
Kansas City (4-7-1) returns to the pitch looking to complete the sweep on Saturday. Kickoff time is 1 p.m.
