Five Things to Know
- Kansas City will look to defeat Kansas State for the first time since the 1991-92 season on Monday evening as they take on the Wildcats for the third season in a row.
- The Roos are fresh off of a record-breaking performance against SIUE. Kansas City knocked down 10 three-pointers in the first half, breaking a 25-year-old record. The Roos finished with 14 triples, tying a single-game high previously reached against NW Missouri State in 2005.
- The Roos are currently averaging 10 three-point makes per game, which ranks 17th in Division One. Kansas City has made at least seven threes in each game, led by Emily Ivory who has knocked down at least three triples in all four games thus far.
- Naomie Alnatas is coming off of a career performance against the Cougars. The junior shooting guard dropped 23 points, including 20 in the first half. Her previous high of 17 points was reached against California Baptist last season. Additionally, she tied her career-high of three assists and marked a new high with five steals.
- The Kansas City coaching staff has deep ties to the Wildcats. Head Coach Jacie Hoyt was an assistant coach under Coach Mitte from 2014-17, reaching two NCAA Tournaments. Additionally, Assistant Coach Kindred Orpin (formerly Wesemann) played for the Wildcats from 2013-17. She finished top-10 for the Wildcats in career assists (329), three-pointers made (264), free throw percentage (.819) and steals (193).

- After a 19-17 first quarter, the Roos exploded in the second, knocking down nine threes for 33 points.Â
- The Roos expanded their lead to 21 early in the fourth quarter and survived an 11-0 SIUE run to hold on for the victory.
- Naomie Alnatas finished with a career-high 23 points, sparked by 8-of-9 field goal shooting in the first half.
- Sanaa' St. Andre celebrated her 19th birthday well, notching her first-career double digit scoring performance. She finished with 16 points, adding six assists and three steals.
- Paige Bradford continued her hot start to the season, shooting 8-of-10 from the field for 19 points. She also shared the ball with prowess, giving out six assists.
- Overall, five Roos finished in double digits. Emily Ivory (11) and RaVon Nero (10) joined Alnatas, St. Andre and Bradford with more than 10 points.
- The Roos' 14 three-pointers tied a 15-year-old record for most triples in a game.

- Kansas City led for 24 minutes, but in the end the Wildcats were able to outlast the Roos.
- The Roos held a six-point lead with under six minutes remaining, but Kansas State finished the game on a 13-0 run.
- Ayoka Lee made a living at the free throw line, finishing 12-of-13 from the charity stripe. She finished with a double-double, posting 24 points and 14 boards.
- The Wildcats were dominant on the boards, pulling down 48 rebounds compared to KC's 35.
- Ericka Mattingly led the Roos, finishing with 18 points, eight assists and seven steals.

- After starting the series 3-3, the Wildcats have rattled off seven-straight victories over the Roos, starting in 1992.
- Coach Hoyt holds an 0-2 career record against her former mentor, keeping both games within 11 points.
- In series history, neither team has ever scored more than 80 points. The highest final score was reached by Kansas City on 12/19/87, when the Roos defeated the Wildcats 77-73.
- The largest margin of victory came on 12/11/05, when the Wildcats defeated the Roos by 33, 75-42.
K-State Scouting Report
- Ayoka Lee is the rock that keeps the Wildcats going. The 2020 Big 12 Freshman of the Year missed a pair of games due to injury but has returned with a vengeance. She leads the team, averaging 14.5 points and 6.8 rebounds per game.
- K-State is one of the top teams in the nation around the rim, averaging six blocks per game. The team's 36 total blocks ranks second in Division One.
- Christina Carr is a threat from long range, knocking down a Big 12-leading 2.8 triples per game.Â
- Emilee Ebert leads the Wildcats' passing game, averaging 2.7 dimes per game.
