Preview: Women's Soccer Heads to Oklahoma for Two

Kansas City Notes
- Kansas City Women's Soccer (5-1-2) travels to Tulsa, Okla., for two road matches at Tulsa on Friday at 5:30 p.m. followed by a Sunday 1 p.m. contest at Oral Roberts.
- This is the second road trip of the year, with the Roos going 0-0-2 during a two-game swing in early September.
- The Roos are off to a school-record start at 5-1-2. They were undefeated through seven games, prior to its first loss in game eight on Tuesday against Creighton.
- In the all-time series with Tulsa, the Roos are searching for their first win and scoring their first goals. The Golden Hurricane have won the previous two meetings. The last meeting was in 2014 and Tulsa prevailed by a 2-0 score.
- Oral Roberts leads the series with Kansas City by a 2-4-2 count. The Roos are seeking their first win in Tulsa, Okla., since Oct. 27, 2011 -- a streak of four road games.
- Amongst 335 NCAA Division I programs, Kansas City is just one of 63 teams with one or zero losses. The Roos are sitting on a school-best start to the year at 5-1-2.
- The Roos' defense has allowed just five goals in eight games (.692 gapg), which ranks in the Top 50 in the NCAA stat rankings.
- With four shutouts on the year, the Roos have now compiled 14 shutouts through 29 games dating back to last year. The two shutouts in the first two games of the year is a first in the 11-year history of the women's soccer program.
- With a 5-1-2 non-conference mark this year, the Roos stand 13-4-2 in non-conference contests since 2018 (not including WAC postseason tournament).
- Kansas City is nearing a program milestone. Through Sept. 18, the Roos sit at 96 all-time wins since the program started in 2009. Overall, the program is 96-92-23.
