Roos Return Home for Matchup with Little Rock

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Kansas City Women's Soccer Team is back at Durwood Stadium to host Little Rock on Saturday evening with kickoff at 5:00 PM.
Kansas City returns home after spending last weekend on the road in Memphis, where the Roos suffered a heartbreaking 1-0 loss to (RV) Memphis. The Tigers broke the deadlock in the 77th minute to hand Kansas City its second loss of the season. Goalkeeper Anika Patton kept the Roos within striking distance throughout the match, making 11 saves.
Patton's performance capped a standout week between the posts, as she totaled 16 saves across Kansas City's two matches. The sophomore was named the Summit League Defensive Peak Performer after helping lead the Roos to their first win of the season, a 2-0 victory over in-state rival Missouri State. Patton made five saves in the shutout.
Three Roos have found the back of the net this season, with Olivia Platt, Ashley Koch and Fatima El-Demerdash each recording a goal. Two of Kansas City's three goals have come from the penalty spot. Platt also recorded an assist on Koch's goal against Missouri State, as the two captains connected on a beautiful passage of play in the 20th minute.
Kansas City is averaging 7.4 shots per game, ranking seventh in the Summit League. The Roos have committed 66 fouls through the first seven matches of the season, resulting in seven yellow cards and one red card. Patton currently leads the Summit League with 37 saves this season, averaging 5.29 saves per match.

Kelly Farrell is in her fifth season in Little Rock with a .500 record overall. The Trojans are 1-4-1 to start the season. After coming off a 7-4-6 record in 2025, they went 5-0-4 in conference play. Little Rock has one win on the season over Arkansas State, 2-1. They have played Miami (FL) & Arkansas this season. They have had three different goal scorers this season, all scoring one goal. Goalkeeper Reese Potts has made 33 saves while allowing 19 goals this season.
SERIES HISTORY
This will be the second all-time meeting between the two programs, with the only previous meeting coming in 2013, when Kansas City took a 3-1 victory on the road at Little Rock. This will be the first meeting at Durwood Stadium.Â
