Kansas City Hosts Golden Eagles at Durwood Stadium
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Kansas City Roos Women's Soccer Team opens Summit League play Thursday night, hosting Oral Roberts at Durwood Stadium.
Kansas City (1-6-1) enters conference play looking to build on a challenging non-conference slate and carry that experience into Summit League competition. The Roos' lone victory of the season came at Durwood Stadium, where Kansas City earned a 2-0 shutout over in-state rival Missouri State.
The Roos have scored three goals through eight matches this season, with two coming from the penalty spot. Goalkeeper Anika Patton has recorded 42 saves on the season which leads the Summit League, including a penalty save in Kansas City's most recent match against Little Rock. She is 21st in the country for saves per game at six. Defender Ella Reyling has been a constant presence in the lineup, playing 695 of a possible 720 minutes to lead the team. Reyling and the Roo defense will look to carry that experience into conference play.
