KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Kansas City Men's Basketball team hosts Bacone College (Okla.) Monday at 7 p.m. from Swinney Center. The Roos (1-3) last played at Milwaukee dropping a 61-52 decision on Saturday. That game capped a three-game road swing for Kansas City.
Junior Brandon McKissic (13.0) and senior Javan White (11.3) lead the way for the Roos in the scoring column. As a team, Kansas City is No. 1 in the conference in both assists (15.0) and steals (10.5). The Roos seek to use home-court advantage to snap a three-game losing streak. Kansas City is 1-0 at home on the year, defeating Avila by a 102-49 score on Nov. 5.
Bacone is a NAIA institution out of Muskogee, Okla., that stands 0-6 on the season. DeAndre Love leads the Warriors in scoring with a 14.2 average, in rebounding with a 7.4 average and connects on a team-high 51.8 percent of his shots. Cratezz Graves is next with a 11.8 scoring clip. The Bacone defense has allowed 101.2 points per game through six contests.
After Monday's game, Kansas City participates in The Island of Bahamas Showcase, beginning Friday against George Washington at 5 pm CT.
