
UMKC Welcomes Utah Valley, Seattle U for Pair of WAC Matches

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – UMKC volleyball will host Utah Valley and Seattle U for a pair of Western Athletic Conference matches, starting Thursday, Oct. 27. The Roos welcome Utah Valley for a 5 p.m. CT match on Thursday, and host Seattle U on Sunday, Oct. 29 at 1 p.m. CT.

Tickets for both matches can be purchased through the UMKC Athletics Website at UMKCKangaroos.com/Tickets, or at the Swinney Recreation box office, with prices starting at just $5.

Thursday's match against the Wolverines will be streamed for free on the WAC Digital Network at WACSports.com/Watch. There will be no live stream of Saturday's match against the Redhawks. Both matches will have live stats available at UMKCStats.com.
About the Roos
UMKC (11-10, 4-4 WAC) ranks first in the conference in hitting percentage (.256), fourth in opponent hitting percentage (.220), second in assists per set (12.41), second in kills per set (13.33), fourth in blocks per set (2.15), and third in digs per set (14.72).
Senior Emma Hagedorn (Parkville, Mo.) leads the WAC with a .449 hitting percentage, and fellow senior Kaylyn Brandt (Sumner, Iowa) tops the conference charts with 10.85 assists per set. Hagedorn ranks 10th in the league in kills per set, averaging 2.97, and ranks 10th in points averaging 3.58 per set. Brianna Starr (Blue Springs, Mo.) ranks fifth in the WAC with 3.79 digs per set, and Brandt comes in at 10th in the category with 2.85 per set.
About the Wolverines
Utah Valley (10-12, 6-3 WAC) is led offensively by Lexi Thompson, who averages 2.83 kills per set. Defensively, Nakisha Willden leads the Wolverines with 450 digs, and Madison Dennison leads the team with 130 total blocks, averaging 1.48 per set.
About the Redhawks
Seattle U (11-11, 4-5 WAC) is powered by Matea Mamic, who leads the team with 290 kills, averaging 3.45 per set. Iris Ivanis leads Redhawks with 322 digs, and Kory White has recorded a team-best Kory White.

The Roos will hit the road to face Grand Canyon and CSU Bakersfield as they continue the WAC season. UMKC will visit Phoenix, Arizona, for a 7 p.m. CT showdown against the Lopes on Thursday, Nov. 3, and will face the 'Runners on Saturday, Nov. 5 at 3 p.m. CT in Bakersfield, California.
