The Kangaroos will head to Fargo, N.D., on Nov. 16 where they will face either IUPUI or Fort Wayne in the opening round.
Senior Emily Lucas led the 'Roos in the match, topping the team in kills (17), digs (13) and blocks (3) for her 14th double-double of the season.
In the opening set, the two teams battled throughout as each team only held a two point lead once though the first 35 points of the set. Freshman Nicole Wemhoff then finished off the Mavericks with an ace and kill on two of Kansas City's final three points, securing the 25-20 win.

Omaha, however, clawed back to take a 21-20 lead late in the set. The Kangaroos would not go away, ending the set with a 5-1 rally to win 25-22 and take a 2-0 lead into intermission.
Coming out of the break, UNO would cut the Kansas City lead in half with a 25-16 third set victory, but a set later, the 'Roos would punch their ticket back to The Summit League Championships with a 25-17 win.
In the deciding set, the two squads were tied at 15, before a 3-1 run by UMKC put the 'Roos ahead 19-16. Omaha would score the match's next point, but the last six points went to the Kangaroos, including the final two on Lucas kills, giving Kansas City the 25-17 fourth set win.
