Prior to the game, seniors Jay Couisnard, Spencer Johnson and Bakari Lewis were honored during Senior Night festivities in their final home game as 'Roos.
Junior Reggie Chamberlain led the UMKC scoring attack, matching his career-high with 23 points, while Lewis was the only other 'Roo in double figures with 16 points to go along with team-highs of five assists and three steals. Johnson, meanwhile, finished with nine points and two blocks, while Couisnard gutted out two points while playing with a sore knee.

A three from Lewis cut the margin to one at the 14:31 mark, but 18 straight IPFW points over the next 6:19 gave the 'Dons a 26-7 advantage.
The Mastodons then extended their lead to as many as 21 in the half, but a pair of Lewis free throws cut the lead back to 18 at 41-23 heading into the break.
Coming out of halftime, UMKC cut the lead to 15 at 46-31 on a Chamberlain jumper, but eight of the next 10 points extended the lead back to 21.
