High School: Ewell's career has left an indelible mark on the Santa Margarita Catholic High School's (Calif.) basketball program. As a senior competing against some of the top programs across the country in Mater Dei and Rosary Academy, she earned First Team All-Trinity League honors, Orange County Register All-County Team and earned an invite to the prestigious Orange County All-Star Game. The 1,000-point scorer tallied a season high 33 points vs. Los Alamitos during her senior season. She was selected to the all-tournament team at the Vernie Ford Tourney and Santa Ana Elks Classic. She nearly averaged a double-double her final two seasons pouring in 13 points and 10 rebounds as a senior, and 11.7 points and 9.5 rebounds per game as a junior. Ewell placed her name in the school record books grabbing 310 rebounds setting the single-season rebounding all-time mark.
