2013 -- Indoor: Outdoor: Named to the Commissioner’s List of Academic Excellence and to The Summit League Winter/Spring Academic Honor Roll… recorded a personal best in the hammer throw with a toss of 48.12 meters… recorded three top-fives and six top-10’s in the shot put, two top-fives and seven top-10’s in the hammer throw and one top-five and two top-10’s in the javelin.
2012 -- Indoor: Recorded a personal best mark of 43-03.25 (13.19m) in the shot put for the second best performance in team history to place fifth at the Holiday Preview (12/9)... Placed sixth (42-02.75 - 12.87m) in the shot put at the UCM Classic (2/17)... Finished 11th at The Summit League Championships (2/25) in the shot put with a mark of 42-01.50 (12.84m)... Placed third (Flight 2) in the shot put at the Bill Easton Classic (1/7) with a mark of 42-00.75 (12.82m)... 2011 -- Indoor: Recorded four top-10 finishes in the weight throw events with her best performance coming at the KSU Invitational (1/15/11) when she placed seventh with a mark of 49-06.50 (15.10)... Finished in the top 10 five times in the shot put event... recorded a personal best in the shot put event at the BVU Dennis Young Classic (2/5) with a mark of 42-11.25 (13.10)... Outdoor: Placed in the top 10 in each shot put event... set a school record for the best performance in the shot put event with a mark of 44-04-00 (13.51) at The Summit League Championships (5/13)... finished first in the shot put event at the CMU Breast Cancer Awareness Invite (4/9) with a mark 42-07.00 (12.98)... recorded five top-five finishes in the discus events... placed in the top 10 six times in the hammer events.
2010 -- Indoor... recorded nine top-eight finishes during the indoor season... placed eighth at The Summit League Championship (3/1) in the shot put with a personal best mark of 41-06.50 (12.66m)... highest finish in the shot put was at the KSU Invitational, placed fourth with a mark of 38-10.25 (11.84m)... threw 44-01.25 (13.44m) at the ISU Holiday Preview (12/11) for a personal best mark in the weight throw... took sixth in the weight throw at the Bill Easton Classic (1/8) and at the KSU Invitational (1/16)... High School -- Finished first and was all-conference in the triple jump, shot put and discus as a sophomore, junior and senior... earned all-conference honors three years in a row in the long jump... was all-district all four years in the triple jump and the shot put... took first at district’s in the shot put and discus as a senior... all-state as a junior and senior in the shot put... placed second in the shot put at state as a senior... was two-time team captain and team MVP... threw a personal best 41-10 in the shot put and 125-5 in the discus as senior... jumped a personal best 32-6 and 15-6 in the triple and long jumps her junior year... is the school record holder in the discus and shot put... team placed first in the Four Rivers Conference from 2006-09... earned two letters in basketball and was an academic all-conference member... also earned a letter in cross country... was Valedictorian (1 of 206) in 2009... a member of the Missouri Scholars 100 and the Missouri Scholars Academy... on the Principal’s Honor Roll all four years... a part of the National Honor Society, FCA and Student Council.
Personal -- Born on July 2, 1990, in Washington, Mo... daughter of Bill and Alice Evans and Richard and Martha Brueggemann... has two sisters, Maggie and Kathleen... sister Maggie was a member of the UMKC track and field team, was a second team Academic all-American in 2006 and holds the fifth fastest time in school history in the 60-meter hurdles (indoor), the fourth fastest time in the 100 meters (outdoor) and the fifth fastest time in the 400-meter hurdles (outdoor)... majoring in pharmacy.
