Tory Lanham ran a 20.52 in the 200-meter semifinals to finish 13th out of 24 competitors
EUGENE, Ore. - Tory Lanham's stellar sophomore campaign came to a close in the semifinals of the men's 200-meter dash at the 2025 NCAA Track & Field Championships on Wednesday evening. Running a 20.52 in the second heat to finish 13th out of 24 competitors, Lanham earned Second Team All-American status. He adds to his collection of hardware this season that included a Summit League Most Outstanding Performer of the Championship award, First Team All-League designation, two gold medals at the conference championships and four Kwik StartPeak Performer of the Week honors.
Pitted against the nation's best 200-meter runners, Lanham held his own and put forth the second-best finish by a runner from a non-Power Four school. He rewrote the record books this season, including a program-record 20.33 mark at the NCAA West Regional to earn himself a spot at the final championship site. He was the lone Summit League representative in the men's championships to earn Second Team All-American status or better.
Lanham is the program's first-ever All-American in the 200-meter race, and is the first Roo track athlete since Bryce Miller in 2016 to be named All-American. He is just the eighth student-athlete in school history to earn All-American status.
