Alholm begins his first season as a student manager for UMKC tennis. He was a former player for the 'Roos.
2009-10 -- Finished the year with a 1-4 singles record and a 0-1 doubles mark... posted his first victory in Blue and Gold at the Arkansas Invitational, downing South Dakota State's Justin Pyle, 1-6, 6-2, 6-0... recipient of UMKC's Stan Durwood Award, which is presented annually to the student-athlete with the highest grade point average with a minimum of 100 hours completed... named to The Summit League Winter/Spring Academic all-League team and to the Commissioner's List of Academic Excellence... ITA Scholar Athlete.
2008-09 -- Redshirted... did not see any match action... UMKC Scholar Athlete honoree.
Junior College -- Played two seasons at Johnson County Community College at the No. 6 singles and No. 3 doubles positions... was a semifinalist at the No. 3 doubles position at the 2008 JUCO National Tournament... helped JCCC to a fourth place national finish in 2007 and a fifth place finish in 2008... led team to the Region 5 Conference championship in 2007... recipient of the Cavalier Award in 2008.
High School -- Three-time second team all-state and first team all-district selection from sophomore to senior years... four-year team captain... honorable mention all-state as a freshman... also was the team Most Valuable Player and a second team all-district selection as a freshman.... played No. 1 singles as a freshman and No. 2 singles from his sophomore to senior seasons... member of the No. 1 doubles team throughout high school... helped KCCHS to four top-10 state finishes... placed 10th in 2003, fourth in 2004, fifth in 2005 and was the state runner-up in 2006... also helped the squad to three team conference second place finishes and a third place showing in 2003... member of the National Honor Society.
Personal -- Born on Aug. 1, 1987, in Shawnee, Kan... son of Jeff Alholm and Sabrina Alexander.. has three younger siblings, Breana, Joshua and Elijah... majoring in electrical and computer engineering.
