Tim Akhmedov started his first season as Assistant Head coach in January of 2015.
He played for the Roo's from 2011-2013, taking part in the team's success as 2-time Summit League Conference Champions, which earned the Roos a pair of NCAA tournament appearances.
He reached #116 in NCAA Div.1 singles ranking during his time with UMKC.
He was the recipient of the Guy H. Bailey Memorial Scholarship his senior year.
Tim also represented the men's tennis team on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee during his junior and senior years.
Outside of collegiate tennis, Tim has worked extensively with top-level junior players while working with Kansas City United Tennis since 2010.
He has helped a number of players win sectional and national level tournaments.
In 2011, he was selected to be a USTA Regional Training Center coach, representing Kansas City United Tennis.
He has worked hands on with all developmental levels, from Quickstart Tennis all the way to coaching current top 30 Div.1 players.
He was born Aug.31, 1989 in Moscow, Russia.
In 2001, at the age of 12 he and his family relocated to the U.S. He is fluent in Russian and earned his Bachelor's in Psychology from UMKC in 2013.
