Bio
Yosuke Tsukada joined the UMKC athletics training staff as an Assistant Athletics Trainer in July 2008. He came to Kansas City from the University of Nebraska-Omaha, where he served as a graduate assistant from July 2007 to May 2008.
While at UNO, Tsukada was the primary trainer for women’s cross country, women’s track and field and baseball. He completed coursework toward a master’s degree in health, physical education and recreation with concentrations in health studies and athletic training. He also completed internships at Missouri Southern State University and for the Onward Skylarks, a semipro American Football team based in Tokyo, Japan.
Tsukada earned his bachelor of arts in physical education - with concentration in humanities and sciences - from Nihon University in March 2002. He is a NATA Certified Athletic Trainer and holds a Missouri state Athletic Trainer license.
Tsukada holds American Red Cross certifications in First Aid, Administering Emergency Oxygen and CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers. He is also a member of the National Athletic Training Association, the Mid-America Athletic Trainers Association and the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
