Quinn Harper joined the UMKC Athletics Department as an Assistant Athletic Trainer in August 2009 after spending eight years in a similar position at Providence College.
While with the Friars, Harper managed the medical care for the men’s hockey team, where she prepared and executed all treatment and rehabilitation. She also taught a basic human physiology and exercise course in the college’s continuing education department.
Before moving to Providence, R.I., Harper worked as a certified athletic trainer at Tempe High School in Tempe, Ariz., in 2000-01. In this role, she managed the medical care for all of the school’s student-athletes.
Harper is a member of the National Athletic Trainer’s Association, while also being certified in CPR for the First Responder/AED, American Red Cross.
Harper graduated from the University of Kansas with a bachelor’s degree in sports science with an emphasis in athletic training in 1999. She then earned her master’s degree in sports health care from the Arizona School of Health Sciences in 2001.
