2014-15 -- Played only one season at UMKC before transferring... Averaged 7.6 points a game as a true freshman.... Played in 33 games, starting 10.
In High School -- Taylor led John W. North High School in Riverside, California to four straight conference titles, playing for head coach Michael Bartee... As a senior he averaged 24.2 points, 4.7 rebounds, 2.6 steals, 2.3 assists per game and got to the line 240 times, while earning first-team all-state and all-county, Conference MVP, and Open Division first-team... He was also the MVP in three different tournaments, including the championship game of one of those in which he scored a career-high 41 points in only three quarters... He hit 91 percent from the line for an entire season, breaking the school record, and hit 14 consecutive free throws in a game without missing... He also finished his career ranked in the top five in scoring... As a junior, he helped his team to the CIF Tournament title, clinching it with the game-winning steal... He put up 20.4 points, 2.6 steals, 2.2 rebounds, and 1.9 assists per game as a junior as well, earning All-CIF 2AA, all-league, and was a tournament MVP at the CIF... Taylor was also an all-league pick and All-CIF 2AA selection as a sophomore, averaging 13.3 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.1 assists a contest... Earned a spot on the varsity team as a freshman and led the team in scoring... He played AAU ball for Inland.
Personal -- Born March 17, 1996 in Los Angeles... Son of Desha Taylor and Terri Bailey... Has two siblings, Desha and Tierra... His cousins, Rhaya and Rheya Neabors both played women’s basketball at Arizona... Majoring in pre-medicine.
