2013-14 -- Redshirted due to injury.
2012-13 -- Saw action in 28 games, starting four times... He started the last three games of the season, including a game against Western Illinois (2/28) in which he led the team and set career-highs in rebounds (5), assists (4), steals (4) and minutes (35)... Had a career-best eight points against Lincoln (11/13)... Missed three games due to injury.
High School -- Attended DeSoto High School, playing for head coach Matt Rice... As a senior, he averaged 22.3 points four rebounds, four assists and three steals while taking the squad to a 17-5 overall record... He was named second-team all-state, first-team all-league, first-team all-area, and honorable mention all-metro... He was also the team captain and team MVP... As a junior he was an honorable mention all-state selection, also earning first-team all-league, honorable mention All-Area Lawrence Journal World, all-tournament at Tonganoxie, and the team MVP... Averaged 15.2 points, 4.3 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 2.0 steals per game, while leading the squad to a 4A Frontier League title for the first time since 1984 (15-8 overall, 11-1 conference)... Also earned honorable mention all-league as both a freshman and sophomore, while serving as team captain as a sophomore... Played for KC Pump’n Run in AAU for head coach L.J. Goolsby... Helped them to the 2010 Metro Sports Invite Tournament title, and second place finishes in three other tournaments... Also a golfer at DeSoto, he was a four-time state qualifier, earning top-10 finishes at regionals and in league... A three-time Academic Letterwinner and a Kansas Honors Scholar, he had a 4.0 GPA and earned honor roll each year.
Personal -- Born December 20, 1993 in Salina, Kan... Son of Mike and Nancy Wedel... Has three older brothers, Drew, Ryan and Jamel... Brother Ryan played basketball two years at Arkansas State and two years at Drake... His parents played basketball and volleyball at Bethel College... Majoring in biology.
