
Kansas City Back on the Course at Wildcat Invitational

MANHATTAN, Kan. - The Kansas City Men's Golf team travels to Manhattan to participate in the Wildcat Invitational at Colbert Hills Golf Club on Monday, Sept. 14th & Tuesday, Sept. 15th.
The Roos are coming off a ninth-place performance to open the 2026-27 season last week in Michigan at the Island Resort Intercollegiate. Kansas City played in the Wildcat Invitational last season, taking fifth place out of 14 teams.
Chance Rinkol led KC last week in Michigan, shooting two-under and finishing in a tie for 20th. It was his first tournament as a Roo after spending the two previous seasons at Iowa.
The German international Leon Heeder carded a two-over last week (72-73-73) to finish tied for 34th in his collegiate debut.
Filiph Dock also made his collegiate debut last week, finishing tied for 38th at three-over after rounds of 71-76-72. Dock recorded 13 birdies across the tournament, showcasing his ability to make an impact throughout his first collegiate event.
Harry Bent and Jack Spencer rounded out the Kansas City lineup in Michigan, finishing tied for 59th and 61st, respectively. Bent enters his junior season after earning Summit League Honorable Mention honors last season, while Spencer begins his sophomore campaign after being named to the Summit League All-Freshman Team.
Jack Williams will be playing as an individual this week in Manhattan; it will be his first collegiate event for the Freshman from Claremore, Oklahoma.
The Roos will be competing this week against Bradley, Creighton, Drake, Incarnate Word, Kansas State, Lindenwood, North Dakota, North Dakota State, Northern Iowa, Omaha, South Dakota, South Dakota State, Southern Illinois, and St. Thomas.
