Kansas City had their final tune up before the Summit Outdoor Championships next weekend
Of note, Harper Barlow ran a PR time of 4:47.76 in the women's 1500-meter dash, the best mark of any Roo this season for that event. Additionally, Naomi Eyanagho delivered a career-best discus throw of 39.9 meters, the 14th farthest toss in the Summit League and the sixth best throw in the event.Â
In the men's distance department, the likes of Kai White, Isaac Kane and M.J. Foster all set new personal records on the track. Kane and White ran side-by-side in the men's 800-meter dash, both finishing in the top 20 with times of 1:51.92 and 1:51.97 respectively. Foster took to the men's 1500-meter dash, totaling a time of 3:53.10, finishing 19th in the event and coming away with a new personal best in the process.Â
The men's 100-meter dash saw the blur that is known as Stephen Clunis come away with third place, finishing with a time of 10.33 seconds. Clunis came off winning his first Peak Performer of the Week honor of his career after he set the new program record in the 100m at the Rock Chalk Classic last week. In the 200-meter dash, Tory Lanham finished second, recording a time of 20.50 seconds, just three hundredths of a second off his season-best time in the event. Brendan Badie became the sixth Roo to set a personal record at the Arkansas Twilight when he sprinted a time of 52.45 seconds to take first place in the men's 400-meter hurdles.Â
