
Men's Soccer Announces Full 2026 Slate

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Following a second-straight NCAA Tournament appearance, a Summit League Regular Season Championship and the first time hosting an NCAA Tournament game in program history, Kansas City Men's Soccer will enter the 2026 campaign with sky-high expectations. The Roos' journey to a third-straight national tournament will include a plethora of challenges and high-level opponents, hosting nationally-recognized brands and traveling to perennial contenders.Â
The 2026 schedule features two exhibitions and 16 regular season contests, eight of which will be hosted at Durwood Soccer Stadium. The Roos will take on three teams coming off NCAA Tournament seasons, including a trip to the 2025 NCAA Runner-up, NC State.

Kansas City will open the season with a pair of exhibition contests, first playing host to Rockhurst in a cross-town battle on Aug. 11. The Roos will travel for their second exhibition game, heading to Omaha to take on Creighton on Aug. 15.
The regular season opens with three-straight home games, beginning with a contest against SIUE on Aug. 20. The game will serve as a 25th anniversary celebration of the 2001 squad, the first team in program history to qualify to the NCAA Tournament.
The Roos will welcome a pair of squads from out west to round out the season-opening home stand, taking on UNLV on Aug. 25 and San Francisco on Aug. 30.
September will begin on the road as KC will travel to SMU for the second-straight season on Sep. 4. The Roos opened the 2025 campaign against the Mustangs, battling to a draw with the fifth-ranked team in the land.
Kansas City will travel to Drake on Sep. 8, taking on the Bulldogs for the fifth-straight season and the 37th time in program history.
Michigan State comes to town on Sep. 11, marking the first time since 2017 that the Roos will host a Big 10 team at Durwood Soccer Stadium.
The Roos will travel across the state on Sep. 16, heading to Springfield for a meeting with Missouri State. Kansas City has won three-straight games against the Bears, including top-25 victory at home last season.
The final game before the start of Summit League play will be against San Diego at Durwood Soccer Stadium on Sep. 20. The Toreros were an NCAA Tournament qualifier last season, climbing as high as No. 7 in the rankings and qualifying to the second round.
Summit League play will begin against Oral Roberts on Sep. 26 at home before a road game at St. Thomas on Oct. 3.
Kansas City will host Tulsa on Oct. 7, taking on Head Coach Ryan Pore's alma mater for the third-straight year. The Roos have won each of the last two meetings in shut out fashion.
A marquee match up will take place in Raleigh, N.C. on Oct. 11 as the Roos travel to take on NC State. The Wolfpack made a run to the NCAA Championship game in 2025, playing in the national championship match for the first time in program history.
The Roos return to league play on Oct. 17 for a road game at Delaware. Kansas City took on the Blue Hens twice in 2025, drawing in the regular season finale before a 2-0 win in the Summit League Semifinals.
KC's non-conference slate will wrap up with an Oct. 20 game at Penn, marking the Roos' first match up against an Ivy League opponent in program history.
Regular season play will come to a close with a pair of Summit League games, hosting Mass on Oct. 25 and traveling to Omaha on Oct. 31.
Kansas City will seek its fifth-straight finals appearance and its second tournament championship in the past three years in the Summit League Championships beginning on Nov. 7. NCAA Tournament play will begin on Nov. 19.
