Kansas City shot +4, 868 over three rounds over the weekend
COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Kansas City Men's Golf took a share of 11th place at the Robert Kepler Invitational over the weekend. The Roos totaled 868 strokes as a team and shot +4 through three rounds on a challenging course. KC tied with conference-rival South Dakota State while finishing above the likes of Indiana, Butler, Southern Illinois and Northern Illinois.Â
Mason Haley had the top score on the team, finishing at four under par for the weekend while coming in at -3 in rounds one and three. Haley posted six birdies on day one, four in round one and two in the second round. Then, the Summit League Player to Watch put up three birdies and an eagle on hole eight to propel himself up to 14th place in the individual standings.Â
Harry Bent and Jack Spencer also finished in the top 40 at 32nd and 38th respectively. Bent played steady golf throughout the tournament, finishing at even par with a -1 performance in round two that was highlighted by four birdies. Spencer notched +1 for the tournament and brought his best stuff in round two where he came in at -2 for the day with four birdies on the scorecard.Â
